This is one of my favourite ever games, and definetly the best game on the SNES! The treasure game alone is worthy of a full game, but the milky way one and the revenge of meta knight are also great! I love the music too, and the graphics own!
I really hope this comes out on the VC soon, I keep hoping every week!

ya i love this game but i can never get it anywhere its sold out everywhere even on the internet if any game should come on virtual console it should be this. i play it at my cousins all the time

Does anyone actually have any clue when its coming out? I can't wait much longer! And america will probably get it first, I'm waiting for the PAL! At least an American release would say it's coming out soon...

This is the game i played the most while i was young ... i had rent it so many times that the guy gave it to me XD ha... good memories....

No. The NES one isn't even the first. The first Kirby game came out years before the NES one, on the Game Boy.

Oh my! Childhood memories so clear once again. I begged my mom for this in Toys R Us back when it was out. Easily the best SNES game ever, and best Kirby game ever. Hasn't been topped yet.

Never played and by the sounds of it I missed out! This is definitely going on my 'buy when released' list.

Me and my sister used to play this game all the time, we're both huge fans of Kirby. And if it does not get released in Australia, then we're both gonna cry!

Once this comes out I need to get it! This and Kirby's Adventure are the two best Kirby games, no other Kirby game could be better

I got this game when I was around 6, beat it dozens of tmies at least once with each of my friends (thanks to the co-op which goes through all the main games) and haven't actually taken it out of my super nintendo for about 5 months. Sadly, the little battery in my cartridge is running out of juice and saving doesn't work every time now. But seriously, if you guys can find a cartridge of this game, go ahead and buy it. It really is a great game for a collection, even if you are getting the VC version too. Course, I don't even have a Wii yet... Long live old school I guess

This game is f-king brilliant. Everyone buy it NOW when it arrives without question. Obey Kirby or you are with the terrorists.

Kirby Super Star (or Kirby's Fun Pak as it's called in Europe) is the best Kirby Game I've ever played. It has 6 Kirby games in one. Every games tells another story and is unique in it's own way.
Good graphics and music, too and fun Co-Op gameplay!
Belongs among the side of the best SNES-platformers.

In response to SCkkKatTTrrRrbrain, this game has 8 if you include the little games. But yes, the coop mode is the best part of this game. Either Ebay it if you are impatient or buy it right when it's on the Virtual Console.

Kirby Super Star (or Kirby's Fun Pak as it was known in Europe) used the SA-1 (Super Accelerator) microprocessor chip. It allowed the SNES to process data at a faster speed, which was handy as it allowed the brilliant graphics in this game to show. I hope this title comes to VC soon!

Looks like I gotta do a quick review of the game.

The graphics: Making use of teh SNES's powerful technology, this game could chage many tiles quickly to creat fluid animations, with many characters and many colors. Very nice. Infact, some of the best graphics on the system.
Sound: There are actually a couple hundred (I believe over 500) sounds in the game, as well as over 50 songs. Thats just from memory from the sound test but those numbers are impressive. Not to mention they sound nice. The music is catchy and the effects don't feel repetitive.
Gameplay: Outstanding. This one is the best Kirby game of them all folks and this is why. If you have played other Kirby games you are more or less used to each power having only one move. Lik fire blast for fire, shock for electricity etc... But on Super Star, well, don't get me started! Almost every power has seperate moves and combos to learn and explore. The beam power has about 5 I believe, thats just one of the over 20 powers. Outstanding. Better yet, if you have a friend (unlikely ) then you can partner up and play through the whole game with them. Of course, they can do every move normal Kirby can (With the exception of some very choice powers).
Challenge: Ok, it is a Kirby game. Don't expect some crazy challenges on par with other titles. But this is still one of the more challenging Kirby games (Not like that is saying much really). You should have fun with it and feel some strain at a few of the parts. What comes to mind are some of the areas where you have to be fast.
Longevity: This game should last quite a few hours to get through everything 100 percent. It is not the longest game though. I'd say 8 to 15 hours first play through.
Replay value: I for one, have played this game fully over 5 times and enjoyed it every time. I think you will too, especially when you bring one of your imaginary friends along for the ride. You won't just put this one down forever. Trust me.
Overall: Overall, this is one of the finest games for the SNES and a prime example of how fun Kirby can be. Don't take it from me though, either wait eagerly for this to come on the Virtual Console or BUY IT NOW on Ebay! You won't be dissapointed. 5 out of 5 all the way.

Yawn. As you can tell I gave up waiting for this brilliant game a long time ago, but I'm still half heartedly hoping we're getting it very soon. <br>I suggest EVERYONE buys this game on launch. <br>It's great value, has great graphics and is so much fun.

The most perfect game ever. Best of all the kirby games too. I have played almost every kirby game released, but none of them even compare to this one. I would give up any of my new games for this one! Like everyone else this game brings back memories of my childhood, I used to just borrow it from my cousin but eventually I couldn't help but buy one. But when my SNES broke and kirby began to not work I was heartbroken. I am 15 now and I still can't wait to play this game again, simply its timeless. I have 800 wii points waiting on my wii specifically for kirby super star because if it was released and I didn't have points, I would die =D.

This game looks pretty good, and I never played it or Kirby's Adventure, so I'll probably wait for Super Star.

My favorite Kirby game of all time! My favorite is playing as the partner, because if you have the copy monster (M.A.C. I think) He can copy and drop abilities just like Kirby, and also has a powerful punching move in his normal state.

I get the feeling that they'll not be releasing this on the VC thanks to the DS 'remake'. The fact it's not ESRB rated any more does kind of suggest it.

Yes, I remember the copy/thief Monster was great, he could kill bosses in seconds with his punch.
It is a great game and as in most Kirby games the real challenge is to find everything (every treasure, every power), finish the boss-rush and get 100%.

Yeah Jazzem looks like we might have to buy the DS remake instead. It might sound good that we're getting a decent game remade but think about it- making us pay 5 or 6 times as much money for a portable remake when they could just put it on the Wii shop sounds a bit of a rip-off to me.

I need to buy this game again. I have it for SNES, but its so old that everytime I put in the cartridge my data gets deleted. So, I might as well get a working port of it...and I see that they're remaking it for DS (I think)...so thats a possibility as well.

Today my old SNES Kirby Super Star cartridge crashed during the last level of The Arena and all my files were deleted.

So naturally I'll be buying this again on the VC.

I wish this would come out. If there is a remake for DS, I will be somewhat mad. I want the original games to come out, not remakes that take away most of the original pride and joy. It just will not be the same.

I guess they wait for releasing every other game featured in this before they launch that superior game...

i played this on emulators before and it was great ive been waiting for this to come out since before it was announced

This is one of the best games in the history of video games. Loads of abilities with loads of moves in each with fighting game style, two player co-op, some of the best SNES graphics and music, several epic battles, five (count em') FIVE games! This one game represents what every video game should be like. I got the SNES cart for my 8th birthday just weeks after it came out. BEST... BIRTHDAY... PRESENT... EVER. Folks, you can't possibly go wrong with Kirby's Super Star. Even if you're not a fan, buy it anyway and it will convert you.

This is a fanatstic game from start to finish. Easily my favorite of the Kirby series.

I really want to try this one but I guess there's no chance of it on vc with the DS one coming out.

The only thing that could keep this from being released on VC is Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe, a DS remake.
