Tomb Raider I-III Remastered And Lara Croft Collection Getting Physical Releases

I mean, I'll still pre-order this.
But I want a physical of the other one so I can double dip.

I was waiting for the digital to go on a steep enough sale, but should I just opt in for the physical edition?

After 2 I kinda stopped following Tomb Raider.
I remember one X-Play video where they were making fun of one of the games due to bad/poor rendering. Something about moving the character or camera around and the camera going through the head and half golf balls for eyes...

Then there was the reboot one on ps4, it wasn't terrible. The second one though, was atrocious!
I gave up with that ridiculously hard jump section. If you played it, you know the one.
Never played the third in the reboot.
Nor anything after ...

Anyway, that said, which games in the series are these?

@Spider-Kev You could look it up you know. These are the Classic Tomb Raiders 1,2 and 3. The ones originally made by Core Design in the '90s.

Eidos turned Core Design into a Tomb Raider factory after the success of the first one, which is why it collapsed. It's kinda sad really, you should try to find out about it. They never even sent Core the fan mail they received, for the longest time they had no idea just how much people loved their games, even if they had to be forced out every year.

Are these games pressed or just a mig copy cart.
Not a fan of them after them selling me burned 3do games.

I hope I can buy these before scalpers turn them into rare collectables. I wonder if they will be a reasonable price like 39.99 or less. The games better all be on the Nintendo switch cart, none of that downloading BS.

I'd be happy about this if it wasn't a limited release.

Wish it wasn't Limited Run Games, but might have to bow just so i can have them.
Also depends if all three game are actually on the cart, if it is only the first one with the others as download (a la GTA), definitely will NOT get it

I can really deeply recommend you the lost Artefact, the "Expansion" is sooo much better than TR3.

Was very much fun to play through it.

Golden Mask is also good.

Besides that, i am not the biggest Fan of TR3-5 and we better forget about six (even with the verz ambitious Fan Patch).
The third has a bad Pacing and too many BS Moments.

I can also recommend the isometric GBA Game, it captures the Feel of the first Game pretty good

I've just pre-ordered the original trilogy on Evercade. Think I'll stick with that.

Hope it's all 3 on one cart, definitely getting it then.

They're all owned by Embracer, so I can see this getting a separate European release later.

Can anyone motivate their hate for limited run games? Like, ACTUALLY motivate it beyond "I saw some people on Twitter have problems with them once"? I'll grant you the 3DO debacle of course, but beyond that, what's so incredibly bad about their releases? Or is it just whiny gamer syndrome?

I have no clue, i bought the Doom Releases and Shantae Games from them on Switch and also the GB Rerelase of Shantae, all was fine.

Yes, you are waiting nearly a Year until you get some of the Stuff, but i have the same waiting Time with other Niche Products from other Shops.

Be it Wild Guns for the Super Nintendo or the Memcard Pro 2 for the PSX/PS2 now.

And i reather have a preorder were i have to wait, than preproduced Products i have to be lucky to get some of the Stock, but it gets shipped faster.

Also, some said the build Quality of the GB Games are bad, but i can't see a bad Product with my Shantae Module, compared to the Wild Guns i have, the later one does feel too off.

@FrillsAran it took them 1 year and 6 months to get my copy of doom eternal from them. Then just earlier this year I finally got my copy of oceanhorn 2. After 2 full years of waiting. They claim 3-4 months for production and shipping add at minimum another year on that wait time and then it's more accurate.

That's a shame, was hoping for a proper physical release rather than Limited Run.

Woowhee, more collector junk from LRG to wait on for another year and a half. Standard copy for both games it is!

Now complaints about their collectors editions are legitimate, I'll grant that. But over the past year, I have not had to wait longer than 4 months for an LRG purchase.
Heck, I even got my copy of Arzette recently within 5 weeks from purchase.

Thank you I was waiting for this news all day. At least with the Switch versions of these games I'll know I won't be getting any cheap copy on CD-R. This will be the second time I buy the original Tomb Raider on cartridge, the first time was on the N-Gage.

I'm seeing the release through Limited Run Games as more than a business decision as both are owned by Embracer. Why pay a lot to go to a publisher when you can probably do it cheaper with a sister company.

Finally maybe some one is now listening to gamers wants not what their CEO/upper management wants for high priced eShop games. Problem is no one on here can do more then LRG for publishing physical versions? So if you want to rump on LRG - tell us better devs that are willing to go from Digital to Physically cart???? This can't be that hard right? If you going to rump on LRG then nitpickers need to step up to the plate and tells others whom want it physically how will they do this????

@Spider-Kev It was just that I've seen that kind of thing a lot, taking the time to ask questions in comment sections on articles and youtube videos where there's no guarantee of anyone seeing the comment or replying and where the answer is easily and quickly findable with a simple search instead. Sorry if this sounds dismissive, it's just an observation I had

If the Lara Croft collection is getting a trapezoid box, the 1-3 collection should get a box in the shape of one of TR1 Lara's tiddies.

Instantly ruined by LRG's involvement. I really wanted a physical of this for Switch, but nah, this ain't it, chief.
