Everyone's Pokemon Ranch

Everyone's Pokemon Ranch (WiiWare)

Everyone's Pokémon Ranch is an upcoming video game in development for the Wii by Ambrella. It will be released as a WiiWare title.

Bokujō Channel allows players to transfer their Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl to a ranch-type setting. Here they can view their Pokémon (rendered in 3D) while using their Miis to interact with them. Players are supposed to be able to raise their Pokémon in the ranch, but how exactly is unknown.

The graphics style of the Pokemon will be very simplified, as the game aims at taking up only a small amount of memory.

Similar to the actions in the Mii Channel's plaza, the Pokémon can perform different idle actions, such as talking to each other and sleeping. Players are also able to take snapshots of their Pokémon and send them to friends registered on their Wii. A simple HUD shows the ability to monitor the time and the number of Pokémon in the ranch.

Might very well be worth it, might very well not be worth it. But hey... it looks great, for some reason!

Looks like you can put your Pokemon from the DS games into your farm. Too bad that I stopped playing Pokemon at the Gold/Silver era. Doesn't really look all that special from this vid.

If this acts as storage of some sort for the Pokemon it'll be a big hit*. Otherwise I can't really see the point of paying any points for it.

*-Players are always running out of space on the games. I'm surprised a new Pokemon Box wasn't announced with Wii Ware but if this is it I understand.

This would be great for my little brother, but i am not sure about having it for 1200 credits, but who knows what price it will be. The screenshots we have seen so far are mostly baby pokemon and rather small pokemon.. I would like to see what it would like with a Charizard in..

would be cool if your pokemon could lvl up and learn new moves while in the farm.

I would love this if not for the fact that after Gold and Silver, I rarely played any pokemon games... I made an exception for Saphire...

You guys are so right, they should make proper high-poly 3D models of all 493 pokemon AND included a battle system while still managing to squeeze it into the size limit. WAY TO DROP THE BALL NINTENDO!

18. Starwolf_UK United Kingdom 26 Feb 2008, 14:29 GMT

Its now called Everyones Pokemon ranch and the following is confirmed:
*STORAGE for 1000 Pokemon (presumebly all 1000 can be dispalyed at once...now we know why the models have such low poly counts). This also confirms it'll sell well no matter what.
*Can take picutres which can ben sent to other Wii systems and veiwed on PC (you hear that Super Samsh Bros brawl!)

There was more than that but those were the two most important things.

It's not supposed to be revolutionary and exciting. It's supposed to act like PoKeMoN Box:Ruby and Sapphire did for Game Cube. It stores additional PoKeMoN if you're like me, and run out of boxes to store them in. It has a few simple features that add interest, but it's not supposed to be a huge, detailed game. If you want battling and such, try one of the many other PoKeMoN games available.

Bensei: a character named Yukari owns the ranch, and you can trade with her for some neat pokemon. http://serebii.net/ranch/yukari.shtml

Dokenzz I agree with you, that it is lame, but it got lame for me a few months ago because you do the same thing i nearly every game, so i'm thinking about selling my pokemon games to Gamestop so I can buy more Wii Points.

The first two weeks it will be free i heard

EVEN IF IT WERE FREE, I WOULD NOT DOWNLOAD THIS.
It's not even worth the space. Anyone agree or do you really need more PKMN space? Why not spend $30 for a game that does it instead of $10 that doesnt? But maybe thats just me...never like the whole version thing either.

Report

31. poggydude United States 08 May 2008, 03:31 GMT

great series but noted for some terrible spinoffs

actually just a few even the spinoffs could be awesome

If it is free of course it is worth the space

YOU CAN GET MEW(at least the japanese version hopefully they keep that peice of awesome in the port)

I haven't had mew since some girl erased my file

anyway I never needed a ton of space but read two lines up for why it is worth the space srsly mew is awesome

I might get this for one simple reason:

I heard if you get 999 Pokemon [or something like that] on the game, you get to download Mew to Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. I could be wrong though.
