No matter how hard they may try, it's virtually impossible for two clans to coexist in the universe.
Hagane: The Final Conflict tells the story of two such clans the Koma-clan and the Fuma-clan. These two bitter rivals were constantly at odds until a final brutal war saw the annihilation of the Fuma-clan.
All were dead except for one man, Hagane. At the edge of death, Hagane was given a cyborg body and nursed back to health. Now it's time for revenge on the Koma-clan, which is planning to destroy the world. As the title character, you'll be going up against a powerful army that won't hesitate to send you to the afterlife to be with your now-defunct clan.
The legacy of the Fuma-clan as well as the entire world is counting on your success. Don't let them down!

i somehow remember playing this back in the rent a game every weekend days. in case my mind has wondered of, the graphics look good, and a contra/strider/ninja gaiden combo has got to be good!

The main character resembles (on a smaller scale) the samurai mini-bosses from Shinobi III.

Got this a while ago for the SFC: it's one hard game!! Quality, but possibly one of the toughest games I've ever played. Be warned: they rarely make games this unforgiving nowadays.
