If you look at the top-selling VC titles, they're usually the more popular games in the Nintendo franchises, and Nintendo shot most of those out pretty fast. Japanese generally appreciate old classics more than the west, so that's not a problem for them.

I think they'll just get more and more spread out, is all. I have my grievances with the whole waiting for what Nintendo is sitting on nonsense, of course, but they're probably looking at what's popular out here. A lot of people in the west are likely, once they get all the Marios, Zeldas, Metroids, Sonics, to go saying "well I got what I wanted" and not check the VC anymore. (although, I really wish they'd put out MORE obscure stuff in the meantime)

And then there's Wiiware, that they're trying really hard to get people interested in.

I don't think there is any logic to Virtual Console releases anymore. I think the games are chosen completely at random.

My theory is that Shining Force 2 will be released a year after Shining Force was released. Also, I noticed that the European, U.S. and Japanese releases of Shining Force were about the same time. Considering that Shining Force 2 is coming out in Japan this July, then, maybe we will see an almost simultaneous release of Shining Force 2. Anyone think this theory is sound?

According to Hudson's vc site, we are getting Break in and Star Parodier. Both of them are imports.

Star Parodier is a game that I am looking forward to. I like to download import shoot'em ups. Shoot'em ups is one of my favorite genres of all time.

Probably won't see a Genesis,SNES, or N64 game until late Aug. or Sept. either. I like a little variety though and actually see, review, and maybe play games I've never heard of. More comments. Keep it going.

When I say five-star games, I meant games like Majora's Mask, Earthbound, etc.

For example, I enjoyed Kirby 64 a LOT more than Kirby's Adventure - nothing to do with the graphical updates or anything, but I just find more of a thrill with Shimomura's contributions over Sakurai's.

People are right in which the VC hasn't had much of interest coming out as of late, but like I keep saying, there's always a future week in which Nintendo could throw something out. Myself, I'm waiting patiently for the next Hanabi Festival (whenever that is) so I can make a move on DoReMi Fantasy and Bio Miracle at least :)
